Lighting of Breckenridge & Race of the Santas

The first weekend of December in Breckenridge kicks off with the Holiday Dog Parade and the lively Race of the Santas, culminating in the Lighting of Breckenridge when 11.2 miles of 250,000 dazzling lights transform Main Street into a glowing winter wonderland that continues to sparkle all season long.

International Snow Sculpture Championships

Breckenridge’s International Snow Sculpture Championships presented by Toyota is a world-renowned competition where teams from around the globe hand-carve 25-ton blocks of snow using only hand tools, creativity, and inspiration—no power tools—over five days and about 94 hours to transform historic downtown into a temporary outdoor art gallery.
