Ron Shelton understands and appreciates that.

Having spent most of his life in Colorado, Ron’s earliest memories are riding horseback and rock climbing on the redrock formations at his family’s ranch southwest of Denver which is now Roxborough State Park. The summer brought Ron’s family life to Summit County where he learned to sail and ski and enjoy the great high-country outdoors.

Ron’s enthusiasm for outdoor recreation moved him to Summit County full time at the threshold of his adult life. In a time of explosive growth in the county, carpentry was a satisfactory occupation. While carpentry is still a hobby, it proved not to be his top choice as a career.

After lengthy consideration and analysis of market conditions he decided to launch his career. His love of working with people and long time residency pointed him toward real estate marketing and development. That was 1979 and he’s never looked back.

Ron joined Moore and Company Realtor in August of 1982 and has assisted hundreds of buyers and sellers with one goal in mind: complete consumer satisfaction.

When Moore and Company Realtor was purchased by a national conglomerate in 1998, Ron and his fellow agents formed a new partnership known as Breckenridge Associates Real Estate. Their company remains a leader in the community and the industry.

Ron’s clients appreciate working with a professional with a wide range of property expertise from slopeside condominiums to mountain top estates.

He’s a family man who loves spending time with his wife and two children, their three dogs and three horses. His hobbies include skiing, sailing, scuba diving, traveling, photography, biking and horseback riding.

Ron is also active as a founder of The American International Snowsculpting Championships held in Breckenridge each year in January. Ron and two of his partners compete against teams from around the world in creating huge works of art in a short four day period. This is one of the Colorado�s premier events!
